Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Surnin Synergy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16770926, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom; "we"). They cover Synergy Cascade: the game, hosts' rooms and paid plans. By playing or signing in you accept them. Contact: [contact email].

1. The service

Synergy Cascade is a multiplayer game that runs in a web browser. Anyone can play with bots without an account. A host signs in with Google, gets their own room and invites people to it by link. Paid plans lift the limits of a room. You must be at least 16 to use the service.

2. Hosts and rooms

• Your room is yours to run: you choose the map and bots and can remove players. Guests join by your link while you are in the room, or at any time with Always open.
• You are responsible for who you invite and for keeping your Google account secure.
• If you sign in on behalf of a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

3. Plans and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the pricing section before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Any taxes due are shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions (Team, Studio, Always open) are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time with Manage billing on the home page; the plan stays until the end of the month you paid for, and isn't renewed.
• Event is a one-off payment for 24 hours from the moment of payment (another one bought while it runs adds 24 hours). During it the team may open up to 100 rooms, all open to anyone with the link; its results page stays after it ends.
• Refunds. If you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and get that payment back: email us. After that, and for business customers, payments for the current period aren't refunded, except where the law says otherwise or when we couldn't provide the service.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it.
• If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while; if it still fails, the room goes back to the free plan.

4. Fair play

Don't:

• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or use offensive nicknames or chat;
• cheat, exploit bugs to spoil other people's games, or run automated clients;
• attack, overload or try to break into the service, or get around its limits (room caps, plan limits);
• use the service for anything illegal.

We may remove players, close rooms or suspend accounts that break these rules. If we suspend a paid account for a serious breach, we don't refund the current period.

5. Availability and changes

We work to keep the game online but can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs; updates may briefly interrupt matches. We may change or improve the game. If we stop offering a paid plan, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused prepaid time.

6. Our game

The game, its maps, art, sound and code belong to us or our licensors. You may play it through the service; you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

7. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period (or £50 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or at once for a serious breach.

9. Changes to these terms

We'll post changes here with a new date and email hosts about significant ones at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of your local law and may bring a claim where you live.
